What is Food Day?

Food Day is a national movement aimed at inspiring Americans to change their diets and our food policies. Every October 24, thousands of events all around the country bring Americans together to celebrate and enjoy real food and to push for improved food policies

Now in its sixth year, thousands of Food Day events have popped up in cities across all 50 states. From festivals to film screenings, and even massive apple crunches, public and private organizations have found unique ways to encourage greener diets and advancements in making a more just and equitable food system.

We hope that you join us this year for Pittsburgh Food Day. If you are thinking about hosting an event, please submit it to our public calendar. You can also contact us with any questions.
